And so now we know what the next day looked like: Ironing :) So, why weren't you using the dryer?? While I do try to save energy where I can, I haven't come to not using the dryer yet...but then, I do have a 3-month-old(and I'm not about to iron all his onesies!)!

Oh, and that's a pretty nifty little green sock-hanger you've got there :)

well, the kids just wear stuff that's a little wrinkly. i do iron their dresses, though. i would like to get to the point where i do all of the ironing for the week in one day-not there yet but with my beautiful new ironing board cover, i am more motivated!! usually i just do steve's dress shirts and then iron as we go through the week.
energy is very expensive here-everything is very expensive here and most people do not use a dryer so i guess i am trying to fit in. also we do not have a hook up for our dryer so it gets really steamy out there when i use it. though i do have a little gadget that helps but i'll have to save that for another post. the socktopus (as we like to call it) is from ikea, of course!

Yeah, I used to have an ironing day...until Ezra was born! And, Socktopus--thats great! Is that really what it for--drying socks??

do you have a drying rack? i've got one that folds out, so there are 3 sections. i used to love ironing, but it's a little more work now since those front loaders do such a great wrinkling--i mean wringing--job! but now i use the ironing time to listen to sermons or to watch the occasional dvd.
